Whitewater Ski Resort

Back Jack Ski Club

Black Jack Ski Club is a nonprofit club of 600+ members located 3 km north of the alpine city of Rossland BC and across from Red Mountain Ski Resort. Our mission is to build a community of Nordic Skiers by providing and sustaining excellence in programs and services.


Snowwater Heli Skiing

Every day at Snowwater, three groups of four guests are matched up and privately guided through 150,000 acres of engaging and magnificent terrain. Essentially that equates to volumes of deep powder, choice, juicy lines and no competition for fresh tracks!


Castlegar Nordic Club

The Castlegar Nordic Ski Club has been providing well maintained cross country ski trails in the Paulson Recreation Area for the last 50 years. With 45 km of packed and tracked ski trails ranging from beginner to advanced levels, the club hosts over 15,000 user-days every season. There are trails for everyone, including a popular 7.5 km circular route from Mud Lake to the Ben Shaw cabin that is ideal for young families and beginners, as well as numerous longer, more challenging loop trails for intermediate and expert skiers. Several kilometres of untracked trails are available for the more advanced backcountry skier.

Redstone Resort

As soon as you arrive on the first tee at Redstone, you understand that Redstone is a spectacular 18 hole mountain golf course.

Located in Rossland, British Columbia, within easy driving distance of the Seattle and Vancouver areas, Redstone Resort features the only Les Furber “Signature” course in Canada. The historic clubhouse offers classic pub fare from a Red Seal chef and the resort can host weddings and banquets. The course offers membership opportunities and public play.


Christina Lake Golf Club

Established in 1962 as a 9 hole course, the Christina Lake Golf Course was expanded to an 18 hole 6785 yard course in 1986. The course expansion was designed by Les Furber and shows off his signature architecture with elevated tees, strategically bunkered greens and fairways, multi-tiered greens and four holes featuring water hazards. This is the first course in Canada to offer the unique feature of black sand traps. The course is regarded as one of the top 25 in British Columbia.


Champion Lakes Golf Course

Castlegar Golf Club

Castlegar’s Golf Course, rated four star by Golf Digest, has been singled out by major golfing magazines as among the best golf courses to play in Canada. The Castlegar Golf Club is a championship 18 hole, semi-private golf course situated above the Columbia River. Balfour Golf Course

This magnificent 6510-yard golfing challenge, designed by Les Furber, features private lakefront meadows and majestic forests. Winding up and down through the Selkirk Mountains, stellar fairway and green conditions cap an awe-inspiring golfing experience. This hidden gem is located only 25 minutes north of Nelson, BC near the Kootenay Lake Ferry Terminal. Three hours drive from Spokane or Coeur D’Alene, four hours from Kelowna, and equidistant seven hours from Vancouver and Calgary.


Granite Pointe Golf Club

Your experience through Nelson’s mountain golfing adventure at Granite Pointe Golf Course begins with park-like settings, generous fairways and some great water hazards. The back nine traverses through mountainous terrain, some holes offering elevated tee boxes. Our Three Aces, Holes 15-16-17, offer some very good scoring opportunities. We don’t like to brag, but #16 (our signature hole) was voted one of the top holes in BC. You’ll also notice a monster sized chunk of Granite partially blocking your view of the flag on #18.


Creston Golf Club

Located just 3 miles south of Creston off Highway 21 on Mallory Road, the Creston Golf Club has licensed dining and visitors are made welcome. Bring your clubs, your camera and your friends, you will be glad you did! Following your first round at Creston, relax on the clubhouse balcony, re-live the towering tee-shots hit at #7 and #12, and plan your return trip.

Rossland Range Recreation Site & Hiking

The Rossland Range Recreation Site is a free public use area in the high mountains and rolling hills near Rossland, BC, Canada. Strawberry Pass Summit and the primary parking area is located about 19 km north of Rossland on Highway 3, or about 8 km south of the intersection of Highways 3 and 3B. In summer, there is hiking, mountain biking, watching wildlife, walking a dog or taking a horseback ride on summer trails.


Kootenay Columbia Trails Society

Rossland's rich gold mining heritage, created a vast network of miner's and horse trails, rail grades and wagon roads that surround the community. Many of these now serve as the foundation to one of the finest trail networks in North America


Revolution Cycle

All trails are graded for difficulty with plenty of Easy, Intermediate, Expert and Advanced Only trails. Also, they are all sign posted in the woods so it's easy to tell where you are and where you want to go.
The Seven Summits Trail received IMBA Epic status in 2005 and BIKE mag's 'Trail of the Year' in 2007. It's an awesome alpine ridge ride traversing 30 km of the southern Monashee Mountains.
