We Chose One of the Most Beautiful Locations in Western Canada for a Mountain Retreat
And Yes—Redstone Can Be Your Home or the Perfect Location for a Wedding or Event.
Just after Redstone Resort opened all 18 holes, a visitor from the Seattle area wrote in the comments book, “Every hole is a photograph.” At Redstone, we hear similar comments throughout the six month golf season. We believe that Redstone is the most visually stunning golf course in the West Kootenay and if you think we’re going a bit overboard with that statement, click here now to book a tee time. Memberships are available and the course is open for public and resort play.
Originally a nine-hole course built for employees of a mining company in the 1920s, the experienced development team of Robert Felsch and Cary Fisher purchased the property just outside Rossland in 2005. They partnered with renowned Canadian golf course architect Les Furber to build 18 totally new holes. Felsch and Fisher updated the original clubhouse, added the practice area, then made home sites, cabins, duplexes and fourplexes available, making Redstone one of the most desirable places to live and play golf in the area. The result is a golf and resort community that would make every landscape photographer or painter seriously excited.
A Stunningly Scenic Golf Course that’s Much More than a Stunningly Scenic Golf Course
Les Furber, a former Robert Trent Jones associate, designed and built the 18-hole golf course at Redstone. Furber has an impressive portfolio of golf courses, primarily in Canada, and including a renovation of Banff Spring. Redstone founder Robert Felsch chose Furber for his successful track record building great golf courses on superb pieces of property.
If Redstone were located in a less scenic location, it would be a fine stand-alone golf course that golfers of all levels would enjoy. So golf at Redstone is much more that the “Post Card” views…it’s a superb golf course set in stunning scenery.
Redstone provides an exceptional example of a mountain golf course. We think it’s one of the most beautiful courses in western Canada. Is it? Book a tee time and answer the question for yourself. But hurry as prime tee times during the season book quickly.
Live Next to the Golf Course and Be Part of one of the Top 10 Outdoor Communities in North America—And one of the Friendliest.
Situated in the heart of the West Kootenay in British Columbia, Rossland is a charming, friendly, genuine, welcoming, and cosmopolitan town. People from around the world have come to live in Rossland and it’s the type of town where nobody is a stranger: pass someone in the street and they will smile back and say hello. Live here at Redstone, take the short drive into town and it’s likely that a conversation in a coffee shop will result in a lifelong friendship and an invite to diner.
Rossland residents have a passion for the outdoors. In fact, National Geographic named Rossland one of the “Top 10” outdoor towns in North America. They enjoy some of the best skiing, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife in Canada. (And now they have one of its best golf courses.)

Just a Few Kilometers from the United States Border—Take Advantage of a Better Climate for an Eight Month Golf Season
Many golf courses that are “deeper” in the Canadian Rockies or further north, have short seasons and can experience bad weather, even in the summer. At Redstone, we are approximately five kilometers from the border with the United States and benefit from an eight month golf season with relatively dry summers.
